iSentry Digital WItness
The iSentry Digital Witness allows care workers to digitally enter care event records almost as they happen within a home. Events are actively monitored by the system with critical events triggering automatic notification of senior management by email or SMS.
The requirement to do this is mandated by the National Care Standards regulations and Health and Safety legislation.
Most organisations are tied to paper and phone based systems but with the iSentry Digital Witness care workers record the events using predefined, care-standards compliant templates which they access either from a PC based browser or from a handheld wireless enabled Pocket PC, both of which have access to the central Digital Witness server.
As with all iSentry products, all the content is securely encrypted at all times and only staff with the relevant roles and responsibilities can view incidents and events.
The care worker has the option of digitally signing the form immediately or saving it for signing later. The forms themselves have associated warning levels which cause alerts to be triggered under certain conditions. Where the warning level is low these notifications only occur once the care worker has signed off the event (maybe at the end of their shift) but where the warning level is high then the alerts are triggered automatically and immediately even if the care worker has yet to formally sign off the event.
Alerts are delivered automatically via email and two-way SMS to predefined lists of managers and on-call staff. Staff can then pickup these messages using handheld email devices (phones/blackberry) or simple text aware phones.
The staff member reacting to the incident then either responds to the email or to the SMS and this is picked up by the system. Other on-call staff are then 'stood down' and the event or incident is assigned to the responding staff member.
The iSentry Digital Witness can be seamlessly linked into our Digital Profile product in order to ensure absolute compliance with regulations too.
The iSentry Digital Witness product can also be tailored to suit your own organisations needs. The forms can easily be customised to meet your own reporting requirements and being web-based the product can tie into almost any authorisation environment too.
